This program offers a series of brief, but intensive Encounters in the Holy Land lead by Professor George Heider. Travelers will visit important sites - Bethlehem and Jerusalem, Jericho and Nazareth, but more importantly will have the opportunity to meet the people of the Holy Land and talk with leaders and ordinary people of all three faith communities: Jewish, Christian, and Muslim.
Non-Valpo students, parents and friends are welcome, subject to availability of space.
For further information, including full itinerary, and other important details, please see the full program brochure (Promotional Brochure--FINAL.pdf).
Participants may earn 3 credits in THEO-368: Topics in Abrahamic Religions, which can count toward a theology major or minor, upper level general education credit in theology, or the cultural diversity general education requirement. Students need to be sure to register for the course (THEO-368-SA or CC-300-SA) with their spring semester registrations.
