$3,799 (Updated rate includes round-trip airfare, accommodation, 2 meals/day, sightseeing, transportation, guides, and more).  $395 deposit due upon application; $1,000 deposit due by November 01, 2013.

Participants will earn three credits in Theo-368: Topics in Abrahamic Religions, which can count toward a theology major or minor, upper-level general education credit in theology, or the cultural diversity requirement in general education.  For credit, students need simply to sign up fo rthe course with their Spring semester 2014 registration.

Dr. George Heider - serves as chair and professor of theology at Valparaiso University.  Prior to coming to VU, he was president of Concordia University in River Forest, IL, and prior to that was a professor and academic vice president at Concorida College in Seward, NE.  He holds a Ph.D. in Old Testament from Yale University and has published on both the history and theology of the Old Testament.  Encounters in the Holy Land will be the third group that he has led there.
